Why work with Casey?

Casey cares deeply about every program he writes for. If you bring him onto your design team, you can expect him to immediately contribute as a positive, competent, and highly collaborative member. Casey wants nothing but success for every director, staff member, student, and program. As a former band director (15 years), Casey knows how challenging it can be to create a successful show. Here are some of Casey’s non-negotiables as he prepares each one:

  • Drill is delivered on time!

  • Colorguard staging is prioritized (see Design Reel)!

  • Communication is key! Poor experiences tend to occur where there is a breakdown of communication.

  • The melody is placed in the focal point!

  • Visual development and flow make sense!

In addition to the standard information you would expect from a visual designer (e.g. drill charts, thumbnail images, coordinate sheets, etc.), there are some additional items and information that aren’t provided by everyone. Casey will also deliver:

  • A 3D video of the drill (music and visual).

  • Design notes INSIDE of the drill charts so that teaching drill is easier in the moment.

  • Recommendations for choreography/’body.’

  • Ideas and impressions from his perspective as a seasoned visual caption head (20 years).

  • A 3D video of the drill that is NARRATED by Casey. With this, he can provide you with his visual intent, getting rid of all the guesswork!
